Looking for a Private Messenger?

Good news! We found a better messenger that shouldn't have any issues. It's called SimpleX, the first messaging network operating without user identifiers of any kind. Other apps have user IDs: Signal, Matrix, Session, Briar, Jami, Cwtch, etc. SimpleX does not, not even random numbers. This radically improves your privacy (to an extent).

You can download SimpleX as a desktop appimage for Linux or on a temporary burner Android or iOS phone here: https://simplex.chat/downloads/. You should, however use something like Tails or Whonix or Qubes OS on a computer since SimpleX does not, unfortunately, fully protect your IP address (yet) according to their FAQ. Or a similar OS for your phone if you're limited to your phone.
